Approximate outside dimensions are 87” long x 87” tall x 45” wide
How long does it take for my goods to arrive from Main Land?
It depends on whether you are shipping a full container load or less than a container load. Transit time for full containers to and from Main Land is 3 to 4 weeks.
Transit for less than container loads is 4 to 6 weeks….
Are my goods insured?
There are many insurance options available and, of course, it depends on which service you choose to use.
Our carrier basic liability is $1.25 per pound. This is available at no cost and applies on any shipments that are warehouse to warehouse. This option is available for all modes of service as well.
We sell insurance for shipments that are door to door, door to warehouse, where one of our agents packs your goods. There are many options as far as deductibles for this service. All insurance is full replacement value and the entire shipment needs to be insured.
We will go over all of your insurance options when consulting with you on your move.
Please explain door to door
Our Hawaii Express door to door service includes packing, packing material, and loading at your origin residence, ocean freight transportation to the destination port, unloading, unpacking, and removal of packing material debris at the time of delivery. Delivery is based on normal access.
What is normal access
Normal access means that a truck can pull up in front of your residence and park. No long carries, no pick up or deliveries above 1st floor.
When do I pay?
DDS requires payment prior to shipment. Once your goods are picked up, measured and weighed, your final charges will be given to you

Can you ship my car?
DDS can arrange the shipping of your auto from origin to destination. However, if you would like to save money, we will help you with DITY (do it yourself) auto shipping
Why is it so much more to move to Hawaii than from Hawaii?
Unfortunately, moving to paradise does cost more. Everything that is sold on the Hawaiian Islands has to be shipped there. There is a need for freight moving to the islands; however, the need for freight moving off the islands is much less. Because of this, the steamship companies need to reposition their equipment and offer better pricing to move from the islands than to the islands.
I don't have a residence in Hawaii yet. Can you store my goods for me?
DDS has a brand new warehouse facility and can store your goods until you find your residence in Hawaii. Storage rates depend on the number of crates (lift-vans), however, storage in Main Land is much more economical than it is in Hawaii.
In addition, DDS will give you 45 days of free storage in Main Land before any charges will apply.
